It’s a beautiful day on campus today.
DAAP kids are so weird. This is what I get for being in an artsy fartsy program…
Rainbow on campus this morning :)
Go Charlie, go! Sam took me to Benihana tonight for dinner in a Hummer limo :) He’s basically the greatest. I got a new bead for my Pandora bracelet and some lovely flowers from the florists who own the shop next to Sam’s. Samuel is now the new proud owner of a Bruce Reds jersey. I put together a frame with some pictures of us and made him this cheese little light bulb thing I found on Pinterest, too. I would’ve posted about what I got him/was making for him earlier but he’s been creeping around all of my social networking sites and asking his jeweler sneaky things… So I must be sneaky too.
But really, tonight was absolutely perfect. I am so disgustingly in love. :)
I can’t believe I forgot to blog about our trip to the Vineyard!
Sam’s aunt is the head chemist at Valley Vineyards! So cool. We took a party bus out there last Saturday with his extended family and rented out the top floor for a wine night and dinner. They let you grill your own steak/salmon if you want! Naturally, he grilled mine because I couldn’t do that even if I wanted to… but everything was delicious. I had the best time catching up with some of his cousins that we don’t get to see but a few times a year and having the usual bonding sessions with his mama and aunt Nicole :)
I think I saw you down near Xavier's campus on Saturday in the nanny mobile, but there weren't any kids with you...
Well this just got creepy. Yes, I was down on Xavier’s campus on Saturday in the nanny mobile without kids. Jenna had a cheerleading competition at the Cintas center and I took Jake up there with me so that he didn’t have to go down so early (she had to be there a few hours early for warm-ups/sign-in), I stayed for the first 2/3 of her performances and then left because I had other arrangements, Jake stayed with his parents and went home with them. You probably caught me as I was leaving…
Cheering on Miss Jenna and the rest of the CIA Agents at JamFest!!
Snow just makes campus that much more beautiful.
The Curnutte’s had us over for a bon fire along with Samantha, Matt, Abbie, and Cody last night. It was lots of fun and I’m especially appreciating the 60 degree weather in January.
I think we’re going back to their house once the boys get off work to have cocktails with the girls while they watch football all night. In other news, AJ Green was on a juggling team? Also - Andy Dalton is from Texas? I thought gingers would burst into flames in such a climate….
This is where Sam and I watched movies last night. Home theater (which, in order to get into, you must enter though a secret entrance behind a bookshelf… AWESOME) with 9.1 surround sound and 137 inches of pure glory… It was amazing.
Friday we went over to Matt and Nan’s and watched 30 Seconds or Less and chatted about Nan’s bun in the oven and what they’re going to name her while little baby Hunter slept. Saturday we went to the Cyclones game and then to Newport on the Levee with Sam’s coworkers & co. Yesterday was spent at my uncle’s with my cousin’s new baby while Sam and the guys did manly things… And then we had a late lunch with his grandparents, hung around with his uncle, then went to his friend Matt’s house (see: glorious photo above) to watch movies and drool over his adorable 2 year old son, Aiden.
Sundays filled with my boyfriend, our families and friends, babies/toddlers, large high definition televisions, and football? I’ll take ‘em.
Sam took me to see Hairspray the Musical at the Aronoff Center last night :)
Funniest moment of the whole thing: Edna Turnblad’s answering the phone as it’s ringing like crazy after Tracy is on TV, finishes a conversation but the phone hasn’t hit the receiver and it starts ringing again. “I HAVEN’T EVEN HUNG UP!” haha, good save, Edna. Good save.
